Choosing a Provider
Peaceful Plans Partner providers have partnered with us to offer direct, online planning and purchase capability. This means you can complete the entire process, including paying for prearrangement, online. In addition, our Partner providers will guarantee the cost of a prearranged and pre-funded funeral purchased through Peaceful Plans.
The biggest benefit is the ability to complete your planning process and payment online.
Prepaying for a Funeral
Not necessarily. You may simply prepare a plan and select a provider and pass that information along to your loved ones. However, if you choose prepayment as the final step, your loved ones will have clarity about your funeral plans after you pass on and your prearrangement will be funded for the goods and services you select. If you choose to prepay, your funds will be placed in a secure funding vehicle in accordance with the law in your state.
One of the biggest advantages of prepaying through Funeral Burial Insurance is our extensive provider network. If you need to change your selected funeral services provider, send us a note at [email protected] and we will help you find another provider. If you prefunded your prearrangement, you may move your prearrangement to another provider free of charge. Please note, the new provider may not honor the guarantees or prices of the original provider. If you have prepaid through Peaceful Plans and change your mind altogether, carefully review the documentation associated with the secure funding vehicle as it may permit cancellation for a full refund within a certain time period.
When you prepay for your funeral with a partner provider through Peaceful Plans, your payment is secured through Homesteaders Life Company, regulated in accordance with the laws of your state.
We have partnered with the leading payment gateway to provide secure payment services. They have been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and are certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification in the payments industry.
There are. By prepaying for your funeral, you can often benefit from a guaranteed funeral contract.

Guaranteed Funerals
When a prepaid funeral is “guaranteed,” it means that the funeral provider accepts your payment now as payment in full for the goods and services they will provide in the future. This means your loved ones or your estate will not have to pay additional funds for the items under guarantee.
That depends. If you preplanned a funeral with a provider who will guarantee the cost then your loved ones won’t owe any additional funds for the guaranteed items. If you planned with a funeral provider who doesn’t guarantee the cost then your loved ones will need to make up any difference in the actual cost or change the selections to a more affordable option (if changes to your selections are allowed in your state)
When a funeral is guaranteed, the funeral provider accepts the prepayment as payment in full for the services the funeral provider can control. This includes things like their staff, the use of their facilities, transportation, and any caskets or urns you purchase. Things that aren’t guaranteed are things outside of the provider’s control like the cost of flowers, purchasing an obituary placed in a newspaper or services provided by the cemetery. When prefunding you can set money aside for these nonguaranteed items to minimize the potential out-of-pocket cost to your loved ones.
